Afternoon Hike
Saturday, April 26; 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Ready to hike the new trail at Sherwood Jayne. Join us for this interruptive hike. Trail in hilly and uneven but the pace will be slow with lots of stops.

Family Senses Night Hike
Saturday, April 26; 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Sherwood-Jayne Farm, Setauket
Ready to use your owl eyes, your fox walk, and your deer ears? Gain a whole new appreciation for the night as we learn about and mimic how different animals function in the dark.

Home for the Animals
Saturday May 10; 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
Sherwood-Jayne Farm, Setauket
It is nesting season! How do animals build nests and dens? Where do they build them? We’ll try our hand at imitating their work and go exploring for animal homes near our trailsides.

Spring Wildflowers
Saturday, May 31; 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

Explore the blooming wildflowers of spring! We’ll talk about where they were all winter, what triggers their return, and who depends on them for survival.

Day at the Farm
Sunday, June 8; 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Special day of programs. Enjoy spinning, quilting, knitting demonstrations, kid’s crafts, guided tours of the Sherwood Jayne house, music and refreshments.

Creating Fairy Houses

Even fairies need homes, right? Come help us build imaginative fairy houses around the property with sticks, stones and other natural materials we find. Who knows what else we’ll see along the way!
